Junior Girl Scouts: Animal Habitats badge

Atlanta Audubon Society offers a one-stop-shop for the Junior-level Animal Habitats badge. In this hands-on program, Scouts will fulfill all badge requirements with a special emphasis on our local Georgia habitats and the animals (especially birds!) that live in them. Learn Atlanta's backyard birds as you explore the pond, creek, and forest habitats at beautiful Blue Heron Nature Preserve in Buckhead, then step inside our classrooms to learn about some of Georgia’s endangered habitats and ways that we can protect them. We’ll wrap up by learning how you can create a wildlife-friendly backyard and creating a take-home craft to help the birds.

2 hour program -- $12 per Scout, includes craft

90 minute program -- $10 per Scout (no craft)

No fee for chaperones; limit of four.
