Basic Bird Photography

Tufted Titmouse (Jim Wilson)Learn how to capture great bird photographs in this two-part workshop and begin your journey of becoming the nature photographer that you’ve always wanted to be!

Jim Wilson, Georgia’s first IBA Coordinator and author of Common Birds of Greater Atlanta, will share some of his photographic expertise with you during this eight- hour workshop. Jim will cover topics such as lighting, exposure, depth of field, scene composition, accessory equipment, blinds, focusing, background and set ups. You’ll learn how to obtain the bird image for your particular objective. Pam Higginbotham will talk about how a backyard bird sanctuary benefits your bird photography as well as "on-the-go" bird photography. She will give her ideas on gear for travel photography (on foot, by car, and airplane).
